A TikTok Shop sample is a trade: the seller sends you a product, you deliver content. Meet the deadline and your fulfilment rate stays good and more approvals follow. Miss it and your chances on the next requests drop.
For tax, a sample you keep is usually a benefit in kind, which means income at market value. Send a test sample back and it doesn't count. Give something away, donate or dispose of it, and you want to be able to prove it. Affliq records each of these steps with date and photo, unchangeable and timestamped.

How long do I have for the video on a TikTok Shop sample?
TikTok Shop sets that for the sample; often it's around two weeks after delivery. Affliq takes the deadline from the screenshot or suggests one you can change.
Do I have to pay tax on free samples?
What you receive for your work and keep is usually income at market value, even without money changing hands. Returned test samples don't count. Affliq documents both; how it is taxed is your tax adviser's call.
What's the difference between a sample and a test sample in Affliq?
A sample comes from TikTok Shop and asks for a video by its deadline. A test sample is lent to you for testing with a return date. You keep both in Affliq under Products.
Can I donate or dispose of samples?
Yes, and Affliq helps with the proof: attach a photo and Affliq stamps date, time and product into it. For a donation, attach the donation receipt.
Do I need a TikTok login in Affliq for this?
No. You sign in with Apple, Google or email. Affliq only reads what you share and never accepts anything on TikTok Shop.
